Souris & area Atlantic Habitat and Population Restoration Project

More than 70 km of streams were maintained over 7 watersheds including the removal of blockages, debris, alders and beaver dams.  Strategic sites are tested in each watershed to monitor water quality.  SWF, in partnership with DFO and PEI Fish & Wildlife Division, returned juvenile wild salmon to PEI’s Hay River after a 10 year absence.
