Nepisiguit Salmon Population and Habitat Assessment

Description: In 2024 NSA will continue working on habitat assessment of Pabineau and Gordon Meadow brooks. NSA will conduct juvenile fish density surveys and monitor water quality on the Nepisiguit and other local rivers. NSA will continue to monitor the effects of the NB Power (Nepisiguit falls Generating Station Life-Extension Project). Members will receive information from NSA through our Facebook page and newsletters. Data from the counting fence, angler surveys and redd counts will be used to estimate the salmon population. NSA works with the Atlantic Salmon Federation and Pabineau First Nation on the implementation of the Wild Salmon Watershed initiative.
