Atlantic salmon knowledge forum
Description: Created in 2022 after the amalgamation of CIRSA’s annual scientific symposiums (Centre interuniversitaire de recherche sur le saumon atlantique) and FQSA (Fédération québécoise pour le saumon atlantique), the Forum des savoirs sur le saumon atlantique (Knowledge forum on Atlantic salmon) is a scientific event with an objective to promote knowledge distribution and exchanges among different knowledge sources on salmon. For this third edition, we chose to bring the participants and the speakers together under the theme Habitats Connectivity and Resilience. For 2024, we will revert to a 2-day Forum, and we will publish podcasts of the conferences on the Web afterwards. The event which brings stakeholders together is an excellent mean for scientists, researchers, students, managers, fishers or anyone who is curious and wants to learn more about the issues faced by Atlantic salmon and its importance in the ecosystem of Québec rivers. In total, we hope to hold about twenty conferences. Also, two panel discussions and a creative workshop will be held throughout the event so that our participants can present their findings and priorities for Atlantic salmon populations conservation.
