Foundation for Conservation of Atlantic Salmon Announces Retirement of Stephen Chase, V.P. of Government Affairs after 18 years of service and dedication
Fredericton, New Brunswick
The Foundation for Conservation of Atlantic Salmon (FCAS) today announced the retirement of Stephen Chase, a pivotal figure in the organization’s history, effective as of December 31st, 2024. After dedicating 18 years to the Foundation since its inception, Chase has played a fundamental role in shaping its mission and strategies to conserve Atlantic salmon in the region.
In 2007, Stephen Chase started the organization from his kitchen table in Fredericton. Under his leadership, the Foundation has grown from a nascent initiative into a vital entity that has effectively managed significant funding agreements and nurtured strong relationships with stakeholders. His tenure has been marked by a commitment to sustainable practices and the establishment of robust organizational processes that have ensured the Foundation’s success.
The Foundation is also thankful to Stephen for his leadership role towards developing strategic partnerships. The development of partnerships is crucial in today’s interconnected landscape, where collaborative efforts can lead to innovative solutions and broader outreach.
It is clear that Stephen has been instrumental in the Foundation’s growth in building a strong, reliable, sustainable and successful organization.
