The Eel River Bar Aquatic and Habitat Recovery Program

The project will provide information necessary for the development of a fin-fish recovery plan for the Eel River.  The following are program activities pertaining to the River’s Atlantic salmon stock and proposed for undertaking in 2013: 1) Restoring access of wild Atlantic salmon to salmon habitat, 2) Conducting a salmon redd count survey, 3) Releasing fry from the Fish Friends Program, 4) Conducting a series of public information meetings, and 5) Creating an Aquatic and Habitat Restoration Plan for species and habitat of the Eel Bay Gully and the Main Eel River and it four tributaries.
