Midgell Salmon Habitat Reclamation

This project will apply consistent and continuous restoration methods to address habitat degradation from impoundments, natural and manmade, on the entire Midgell Watershed. Unmanaged proliferation of beaver populations and the resulting dams have resulted in highly degraded water quality in the entire watershed. Areas of significance to salmon survival will be targeted. Two of note are the Pius Macdonald’s Pond and an area lower in the system just above Herman James’ Bridge.
