Alcool NB Liquor

This month we’re doing something a little different. We invited one of our outstanding corporate partners to talk a little bit about their relationship with us. Meet Alcool NB Liquor!

Alcool NB Liquor (ANBL) began its partnership with the Atlantic Salmon Conservation Foundation (ASCF) in 2012, with the creation of an annual ANBL Protect Our Rivers retail program.  In additional to our current contributions, this year we are increasing our investment in the Protect Our Rivers program by matching each dollar in the prompt-at-cash campaign at a ratio of $1 for every $5 raised.  We are committed to investing in New Brunswick and playing our corporate role in protecting the environment.  We are proud of the difference that has been made as a result of this program.  Credit is owed, more specifically, to the generous contributions made by our partnering suppliers and to our caring and supportive customers who not only purchase featured products during the program, but also give generously during the prompt-at-cash campaign.

As a result of the five years this program has been taking place, and with the 400K raised, the following improvements have been made:

• 235,099 m2 of degraded stream habitat was restored
• 38,497 streamside trees were planted
• 516,506 m2 of streams have ­fish passage restored
• 330 jobs were created
• 985 volunteers gave 17,771 hours of their time

Contributing towards a cleaner and healthier New Brunswick is something our employees are all proud of and we are looking forward to kicking off our sixth program on Monday, August 21^st.
